Doug Donley is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and has lived in New York City, Hartford, Connecticut, and San Francisco, California before settling in the Twin Cities in 2001. Most of his writing takes place at University Baptist Church where he serves as pastor. He lives in Mounds View with his wife and two daughters.
In his spare time, he chauffeurs his kids to various events, runs marathons, and engages the neighborhood in making backyard maple syrup. An activist, he has been to Nicaragua eight times and serves on the Board of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, the Minnesota Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice and chairs the U of M's Interfaith Campus Coalition.
